Interior minister to visit Maputo province

Mozambique’s Minister of the Interior, Alberto Mondlane, will begin on Saturday a week long working visit to the southern province of Maputo to look at the security problems facing the region, especially cattle rustling and poaching.

According to the Interior Ministry the visit also aims to evaluate its performance, particularly in relation to the Frontier Guards.

The Minister will visit the districts of Matutuine, Namaacha, Moamba and Magude, as well as the city of Matola.

Alberto Mondlane will be accompanied by staff from the police and migration service.
