MDC-T in campaign drive

MDC-T South Africa Province has launched a massive flat-by-flat campaign drive in a bid to mobilise people to register to vote at the next elections.

“We were not impressed by the numbers from the referendum and we are encouraging our fellow Zimbabweans to go home and register to vote,” said the Provincial Deputy Youth Secretary, Butholezwe Nyathi.

“We are very aware that more than a million of our countrymen live in flats and that is why we are targeting them. We are moving across Gauteng teaching Zimbabweans about the importance of voting. We are also providing transport for them to go home.”

Provincial spokesperson, Kumbirai Muchemwa, said they were intensifying their campaign. “Our votes are our guns. We are about to reach the final stages in ridding our country of leaders who care for their own personal well-being at the expense of the welfare of their citizens,” he said.
