The two clubs are among the bottom three in the 18-team log – Ausburg in 16th position with 27 points, while Hoffenheim are a rung below, three points less. At the bottom of the table are Greuther Furth, who are already relegated.
Two clubs get automatic relegation to Bundesliga 2 at the end of the season and with only four matches to the end of this campaign, Musona could be playing a rung below what he went to Germany for.
Musona became the first ever Zimbabwean to play in the Bundesliga, following his record-breaking move from South African giants, Kaiser Chiefs, to Hoffenheim mid last season.
He was loaned to Ausburg early this season to gain some experience, after he had failed to command a first team position at his club.
Luck has eluded him at his loan base, as the Zimbabwean star has had limited action. Some football followers say German football could be too physical and not suitable for skilled players and suggest that Musona should have moved to France, the Netherlands or any other European league where more emphasis is on skill.
