Speaking to The Zimbabwean recently, the Gwanda-born star said, “It is high time I record my work. I have done a lot for our country, but no one came forward to help me record. I am at the final stages of finishing my first album, which will feature my prominent poems like the death of Samora Machel, Izibongo zikaLobengula, Izibongo zamakhosi eZimbabwe among others.”

His work has also been used as a set-book for Ndebele/Zulu national examinations in the past years.

He highlighted the importance of documenting history through technology. “History is the founding principle of our lives as Africans. It is very important to take advantage of digital means to archive your work as a way of avoiding distortion of history in the long run. We are tired of distorted history across the world where people push their agendas for their own benefit. Our children need to know the truth and if I record an album no one can deny or distort my work,” said Nqindi, who has toured the world through his poetic gift.
