“We sing of our respected leaders like Josiah Tongogara, Hebert Chitepo, Nikita Alfred Mangena and Lookout Masuku among others who fought for this country. It is very important to dedicate our single to them as we have noticed that we now hardly hear of them in our history and media,” said the Tsholotsho-born Khumalo (30).
“Our country is continuously losing its cultural values and this is of major concern. This single tries to record our history to benefit the youths who are now more interested in foreign cultures. There is no problem with them copying foreign culture, but life is incomplete if you don’t know your history. Our music bridges that gap,” he added.
“We are bringing Zimbabweans together through taking them back to where it all began. There is great need for this as a society without strong historical background is lost,” said Dhlamini.
