Sithole missed at Supersport

Supersport United coach, Gavin Hunt, said this week that his club was missing the services of injured Zimbabwe national team striker, Simba Sithole.

Missed - Simba Sithole.
Missed – Simba Sithole.

United have three major goals to accomplish this season and Hunt said Sithole would have helped them do better in all of them with his scoring prowess.

Matsantsantsa a Pitori are fighting for a respectable league position at the end of this season and defend the Nedbank Cup, while also trying to win the CAF Confederations Cup.

“Simba was starting to gel in well with the rest of the team and remains one of the fastest players to adjust at the club, having done well since he arrived from Dynamos,” said the three-time PSL championship-winning coach in an interview with The Zimbabwean.

“The team is no longer the same now that he is out with a pulled hamstring he sustained a few weeks ago. We are however, hopeful that he has started light training and hope that he will be back in full action in the next few weeks.

“Once he is back, we will definitely perform better because he had looked to be quite a deadly finisher at training. He will surely keep defenders busy. That is why we miss him so much.”
