Zimbabwe takes a 1-0 lead in the two match series. The next match starts on Thursday in Harare.
Captain Brendan Taylor’s two centuries helped Zimbabwe set Bangladesh a big target of 483 runs. Reports say Taylor impressively led his charges from the front, becoming only the third Zimbabwean batsman, after the Flower brothers Grant and Andy, to score two centuries in both innings of a Test match.
Taylor’s 171 and 102 not out set up Zimbabwe's victory in the first of two tests and delivered the country's first win since it beat Bangladesh in its comeback match in 2011 after a six-year exile from the five-day game.
Zimbabwe only needed 49.2 overs to restrict Bangladesh to 147 all out and claim their second consecutive Test win against the Asian side. Bangladesh collapsed in spectacular fashion, losing their final six wickets for just 15 runs. – SW radio Africa
