During his visit he met with his Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa and they agreed to promote increased business to business interaction and cooperation.
According to a joint release, “the two ministers were encouraged by the positive trend in bilateral trade and investment cooperation that reached 120.3 million US dollars in 2012”.
Although this was a 125 per cent increase on 2007, it was in fact a drop from the 130 million dollars recorded in 2011, due to the world economic crisis.
Whilst in Indonesia Oldemiro Baloi will also meet Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan and Education Minister Muhammad Nuh.
