My mother is very sick. She is in Intensive Care Unit at a local hospital. I feel so powerless and I can’t think of anything that I can do to help her. I am 20 years old and I am just too young to lose my mother. I need her badly. Please tell me what I can do? – Shamiso

Being in Intensive Care Unit does not mean your mother is going to die. She is very sick and needs the special attention of medical practitioners. All will be fine. What you can do at the moment is pray for your mother. You are such a strong young woman and right now you can be there for her by praying for her and visiting her. Ask God to look after her and guide the doctors and nurses attending her. Thank him for each day she is alive and ask him to give more days and years for you to be together. That is the only wise way for you to help her. Whatever happens, God can give you the strength to cope if you trust Him. – Aunty Lisa
