This year’s edition is scheduled for the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre in Bulawayo from July 24-26.
“The face of Mine Entra is changing. For the first time ever, Building and Construction will be represented at Mine Entra. Those wishing to explore the newest products, trends and educational sessions in the building, construction and property management must register to exhibit,” the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Company stated.
ZITF hopes the event will build on the success of last year’s edition. More than 3,000 business visitors from Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries registered during Mine-Entra 2012. This represented a 30 percent increase from the previous year.
The visitors were mainly made up of purchasing managers, mine managers and representatives from engineering companies. The emphasis was on products available to small-scale miners.
Mine Entra, which is the biggest such exhibition in Southern Africa, has been held annually for 17 years. This year’s edition comes on the back of some revival of the sectors that will be in exhibiting, particularly mining. Mining firms are emerging from years of economic turmoil, which forced the closure of some mines and loss of jobs.
