There are reports that Tsvangirai has been trying to lure the former St Mary’s Legislator, National Constitutional Assembly Chairperson, Lovemore Madhuku and Zimbabwe Union of Democrats founder, Margaret Dongo.
Recently, Madhuku told attendants during Workers’ Day celebrations in the capital that the NCA would transform itself into a political party after elections scheduled for this year.
Sikhala told The Zimbabwean in an interview that he had turned his back on the MDC-T for good and accused Tsvangirai of betraying the will of the people.
“It is true that I was approached by the MDC-T and my reply is no. I am not willing to accept the offer and that is it. Tsvangirai has betrayed the cause of the people. He has been busy gallivanting with Mugabe for four and a half years without bringing any benefit to the people of Zimbabwe,” said Sikhala.
Sikhala was unceremoniously dismissed from the MDC-T in 2005 on allegations of bringing the name of the party into disrepute through defamatory statements he made about Tsvangirai to the local media.
The outspoken politician described Tsvangirai as a “political fraudster”.
“I do not even want to give them (MDC-T) a chance. He (Tsvangirai) is the biggest political fraud Zimbabwe has ever witnessed so I will not be in the company of a political fraud. I wish them (the MDC-T) all the best in the forthcoming elections,” said Sikhala.
