Over the weekend, Bosso rose to the apex of the log summit, after a 3-0 drubbing of army side, Buffaloes, at Barbourfields Stadium. They displaced the “kugona Kunenge Kudada” outfit, who had held on to the pole position since the beginning of the season, after the platinum miners’ 2-2 draw with champions Dynamos two games ago.
Although the two sides are neck-and-neck with 19 points and have scored a similar tally of 16 goals, the Bulawayo giants have conceded two less goals than their rivals. “We will prepare well for Highlanders and given our current form, defeat will be certain for them,” said Chilumba.
Platinum edged Beitbridge-based side, Tripple B, 1-0 at home courtesy of dribbling wizard Michele Katsairo’s second half strike. That was Tshintsha Magiya’s third straight defeat, after they fell to Dynamos and Bosso earlier.
The three matches were moved to Mandava stadium after the PSL ruled Dulibadzimu stadium to suitable to accommodate matches against crowd pullers like Highlanders and Dynamos.
Other results: Dynamos 3:0 Monomotapa, Motor Action 2:0 Black Mambas, How Mine 2:1 Black Rhinos, Hwange 1:0 Triangle.
