There were still two more games to play at the time of going to print, but Sundowns were already safe, after turning on a spirited fight towards the home straight.
“We turned on the style during our last three games, winning all of them to jump to safety,” said the former Railstars shot-stopper, voted man-of-the-match recently, when his side beat Malanti Chiefs 2-0.
“We are in eighth position in the 12-team PSL and the team is aware of what an embarrassment this could be viewed as, but everyone is more than focused to right our wrongs next season,” he said.
His next assignment would be to keep clean sheets against Sea Birds and Royal Leopards, feats he said were within reach.
With his contract coming up at the end of the season, he said he was still committed to the club, and would soon discuss his future with the view of extending his stay.
