The band will appeal to all sorts of listeners with its multi-linguistic compositions. Binga Sounds Director, Robson Mudenda, expressed his confidence that the band would impact the entire country.
“We want to record our first album and we want people to know about the BaTonga people, our culture and our way of life through the art of music,” said Mudenda. He also said the young band was looking forward to giving music gurus such as Alick Macheso and Oliver Mtukudzi a run for their money.
The band has done musical tours in Zambia and Binga. The band was formed in September last year and is based in Mabobolo, Binga. It has eight members: Shadreck Mwembe (bass guitarist), Tobias Munsaka (lead guitarist), BhiboMunkuli and Achim Dube (rhythm guitarist), Dick Munkombwe and Amos Munga as leading vocalist.
