The club is owned by former Highlanders and national team midfield maestro, Rahman Gumbo, who is director of the club.
Sibanda said in a recent interview that his charges were on course to conquer the first division, in which they currently lead the Southern Region log standings. “We have dished out some quality football so far, but there are still a few things we need to address before we can be called a well-oiled machine,” said Khumalo.
“Our aim is to bring top clubs to the local people, as Plumtree town has had no topflight football for many years. Gumbo did a good thing by bringing his knowledge of football to this city. We have seen some sparks that if well-supplied would burst a national attraction of soccer played before a jam-packed stadium here.”
He said his club was taking good advantage of the experience brought in by former Motor Action star, Fortune Ncube, who has provided some infield guidance.
“The rest of the players are the ones we brought from the lower leagues, but we also have promising George Majika, a 19-year-old midfielder who has suddenly become our star player with his amazing skills,” he said.
