I feel pity for anyone ZIFA selects for the national soccer team’s technical job. That is one job that can have a terrible mental effect and give one non-stop head-aches of trying to make sure the logistics are always in place, yet those paid to do that sit comfortably in Livingstone Avenue, doing nothing. -Shepherd Murerwa, Chitungwiza.

The whole ZIFA executive should just resign. How can the national team travel with just the exact number of players to play the game? This is an embarrassment to the nation. -David Shumba, Belvedere.

Sport is not taken seriously here in Zimbabwe. It is high time those in power got to understand how much it contributes to putting a country on the map, be it for the good or for the wrong reasons. The pathetic administration of our football is dragging our country’s name through the mud. Cuthbert Dube has for long blamed the “Asiagate”. We are tired of this joke and want to move on and see some development. We may not live to see Zimbabwe play in the World Cup, but let’s improve the game for the future generation. -Emmanuel Tigere, Mabvuku.

Pagels is wasting his time. Zimbabwean football needs to be developed from grassroots level. Let’s just forget about any player above 20 years and start focusing on younger boys. So many coaches have come and go and one thing should tell us what that means. It’s not the coaches that are bad, but the team and the crew behind the scenes. -Ronald Huruva, Mufakose.

Dynamos

I love the coach of the champions, Kalisto Pasuwa. He is just calm and focused. He went through some disappointing stalemates at the beginning of the season, but still remained confident. These are the good coaches we need in the national team, those who do not panic. -Samson Panganai, Norton.

Once my team starts winning, it becomes unstoppable. DeMbare will do it come December. -Aaron

Mapiravana, Masvingo.

Highlanders

Woza Bosso, the only team that plays the game marvellously even when it is losing. I love my team for the great game it always displays. Now, let’s make sure we bag maximum points in most of our remaining games and show Zimbabwe that, not only is Bulawayo the city of Kings and Queens, but also the capital city of local football. -Francis Mutema, Bulawayo.
