Victor Muchemwa of Gifford won a gold medal in the under 16 boys category with a perfect score again.He survived the chop from Tevor Macheka of Mabvuku Harare as well as Tapiwa Chikwavaire of Harare again.Bhekile Ndlovu won the under 14 category easily with 6,5 points drawing his last game against Tinashe Mapfumo of St.Ignatius College who came second.
Meanwhile in the under 18 girls category WCM Paidaishe Zengeni of St.Johns Emerald Hill,Harare won the category with 6,5 points.She only drew one game against Tariro Mwendamberi of the same school.Mashonaland West came first ahead of Bulawayo and Harare respectively.The winners will represent Zimbabwe Junior chess team in Egypt from September1-11.
