We are now freed from the oppressive foreign yoke and we shall forever remember those heroic warriors who were determined not to surrender the great charge passed on to them by their fathers. How many young men, women and native people were killed during colonial rule? How many hectares of fertile land did the settlers forcefully take from our forefathers? Surely, this injustice needs to be corrected.
