UNWTO’s gift to Vic Falls

The Government has allocated a 1,100 hectare piece of land to Victoria Falls for the construction of hotels, restaurants and other business structures ahead of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation General Assembly.

Tourism and Hospitality minister, Walter Mzembi, told The Zimbabwean that, besides the allocated land, Victoria Falls would benefit from the spill-over of the event.

“Besides using structures for tourism purposes, hotels will be rented out for events such as conferences, church services, weddings and other things,” said Mzembi.

The piece of land is being serviced and construction will start before the end of the year.
