Details of the meeting were, however, not made public.
The delegation is meeting top stakeholders in the coming poll and did not say much regarding its findings so far.
The Comesa head of delegation, Ambassador Bethuel Kiplagat, said: “We have no comments about the elections yet, since we have just arrived in Zimbabwe.”
He wished Zimbabwe well during the elections.
The Comesa team comprises 27 members drawn from different member countries.
Its participation in the election as observer follows an invitation extended by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Zimbabwe.
Besides meeting with President Robert Mugabe and Tsvangirai, the delegation will also meet with the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, leaders of observer missions from AU, SADC and other international observer missions.
It will also hold meetings with political parties, civil society groups and the media, among other stakeholders.

VICTORY POEM PART 6:
Zimbabweans awaiting Mugabe to lose…
All thirsty to cheer victory with a JUICE…
Goebels Charambamanheru is despondent….
Knowing Zimbabweans are finally independent…
He screams, what has hit us?…
While Zimbabweans sing ‘how nice!’…
Too late to change your old 3-legged horse…
We knew this would happen ofcourse?…
Jonathan once warned, retire from old age…
Before joining Zanupf’s Stone Age…
You could now be Save’s garden boy…
After you mocked him ‘Teaboy’…
Hezvo Machinja voti bwaaa….
Kumira nemafaro kuti twaa.
We can teach the more youthful era about pollution so they don’t need to face the issues we are confronting and other natural issues in light of the fact that education is the only solution for spread mindfulness in peoples.
