
The eight member group, which specializes in Isitshikitswa, has also become a household name in beer gardens and beer halls where their audience is mostly found.
“Since our split early this year, we have made a number of positive changes in our group that are now beginning to bear fruit. We have also introduced new dances and perfected the old dances,” said Ellen Mlangeni ,the group’s spokesperson in an interview with The Zimbabwean. The group was formed in 1991 but split early this year following disagreements among members.
In 2007, the ensemble was crowned the Chibuku Neshamwari traditional dance winners after warding off stiff challenge from nine other groups. Some of the group’s members have featured in a short film titled “Nice from London “
