From the terraces

ZIFA

It is so funny that we don’t know any of Cuthbert Dube’s dreams and ambitions as ZIFA president. If I were to guess, I would say he is there only to expose and deal with the “Asiagate” and nothing else. That is all he is doing, forgetting that football needs to move on in this country. We need to see more development and success. Please Cuthbert Dube, we need you to step up to the game. –Jerry Tafa, Belvedere.

Can someone tell us when the Warriors will really be Warriors? We need to work on improving the national team’s performance on the international scene. If that is going to happen in 10 years, we would better wait for that than watch a pathetic team game after game. –Taurai Mupedzi, Harare.

Dynamos

I am impressed with the level of consistency displayed by Dynamos. The team has risen to a local football powerhouse again. They don’t seem to have any competition in Zimbabwe. Dynamos’ play is not even that extra-ordinary, yet they continue to dominate. Our football matches lack action, drive and excitement. I guess that is the reason why sponsors are not moved. –Terrence Gadzike, Chitungwiza.

Highlanders

Viva Bosso! We are strongly behind you, even though we are very far away. Keep the fire blazing. We will be Champions one day. –Mdu Dube, Johannesburg.

Monomotapa

Whatever happened to our old Monos? Can we not call back Norman Mapeza once the Asiagate saga has been closed? He is the only man who I can think of to take us back to those glory days. Once a champion we should always be champions. –Ian Mpure, Epworth.
