Upon arrival at Hatfield Girls, was given a voters registration slip and asked politely to vote for Alicia Lumumba but a president of my choice. Is this free and fair? Only people with slips from Lumumba are being given the right to vote even if they do not appear in the voters roll.

8.36 Voting started at 7 am sharp at Unit J shops in Zengeza West constituency. People were in the queue as early as 5 am. There was a long winding queue by 7am. Around 7:10 am, voting was briefly stopped for a few minutes as the polling officers adjusted lighting settings because it was dark in the tent and voters were expressing concern that they could not see.

08:12 Voting in Zeng east started with enthusiasm at 7 with crowds at 5 stations visited stretching as far as 300 metres. People were already in queues by 5. Police kept a watchful eye. No incidents as people voted quietly
