Tsunga, a prominent human rights lawyer, was arrested at round 1630 hours. He was released today at 1400 hours.
His lawyer, Tinoziva Bere, from the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights confirmed the release of his client although he argued the charges that were proffered against Tsunga.
“My client has been released today after he was made to pay a fine of $20 for alleged criminal nuisance. The police alleged that he held an illegal procession but the truth of the matter is that he was transporting his supporters to their homes and there was nothing illegal in that,” said Bere.
