“We are a party of liberators and owners of Zimbabwe. We are the custodians of Zimbabwe’s heritage and only us know how the country came to be. Even other nations do not really know this.
“This country is so precious and it should be closely guarded so that it does not fall into the hands of people working with imperialists. People shed their blood for it. The blood will continue to be shed if we realise we are losing the country,” said Mugabe. It was again the first time that Mugabe who was addressing his eighth rally, did not make his speeches of peace ahead of next week’s elections.
According to sources, Mugabe’s intimidation threats shows he is losing the immense confidence of victory at next week’s elections as days for the watershed national process draw nearer.
The president went on to attack MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai saying he is so obsessed with Britons whose forefathers were oppressors.
“Tsvangirai says he wants to bring change. If he wants it, then he should first change his skin so that it becomes white like that of Blair (Former British PM). He can as well change his hair.
“He is so obsessed with whites. That is why he cannot do anything without consent from Eddie Cross and Roy Bennet.
“These whites think that this is their country. It is not. The white colour on our flag should not fool whites into thinking they own Zimbabwe. The colour represents something else. That is why the white part on the flag is bordered by a black margin,” said Mugabe.
He also attacked Finance Minister Tendai Biti saying he abused the International Monetary Fund’s $ 500 million grant. The president went on to repeat his call for the cancellation of debts owed by residents to city councils countrywide saying people cannot afford to pay because the foreign currency which is in use is difficult to get than the Zimbabwean dollar.
Though the rally was attended by thousands of people in Zanu (PF) regalia bussed from the province’s eight districts, the atmosphere was not characterised by huge enthusiasm. The atmosphere made the party’s provincial chairperson and Governor Jaison Machaya, spend lots of energy trying to cheer the attendants by chanting of lengthy slogans.

Last kicks of a dead horse….
When Zanu pf and Mugabe talk about shed blood, they are not talking about blood for the liberators but for the many that he killed since 1980 to stay in power.
Mugabe has failed his country and people so miserably and the incoherent noises he makes which is supposed to be speech, certainly shows he is suffering from multiple organ failure, apart from his brain which died long ago. He deserves universal condemnation and, if possible, be dragged in front of a court of justice where he must stand trial for the deaths of many thousands of innocent people, and a lot more. By all means, let the blacks govern the country, but not by a lunatic like him, assisted nationally and internationally by a bunch of psychopaths.
WHO shall shed their blood ? to defend a despot ?
