Musona has joined Kaiser Chiefs on a one year loan deal from 1899 Hoffeinheim . He was Chiefs’ top scorer in 2011 when he scored 15 goals from 28 games.
The development ends the guessing game that was being played as to where Musona was heading to. Musona goes back to Chiefs two years after leaving the Soweto giants to try his luck in Europe and in particular in German where his stay was not rosy.
After joining Hoffenheim, Musona was in and out of the team and even a one year deal at another Bundesliga side Augsburg did not yield the required results as he also spent most of the time out of the team.
In June, while in Zimbabwe, Musona described his time in Germany as the worst in his career.
The predatory striker has arrived in time to be registered for the forthcoming season which starts in August as Amakhosi seek to retain the championship they took from under the noses of their bitter rivals Orlando Pirates last season.
Although he did not have much action in German, Musona remained the most trusted striker for the Zimbabwe national team, scoring great goals although the Warriors failed to progress to major tournaments.
