“The main challenge that we are facing at this polling station is communication breakdown with Command Centre. Dozens of people as you can see want to be assisted as their names are on not on our voters roll. When we raise the complaint with command centre they assist us as some names are being found under Southerton Constituency,” said Mutizwa.
She said the voters roll at her polling station had a cut off date of 10 July 2013 but others registered until 27 July.
The presiding officer said she got 1,599 ballot papers. “We opened at 7am and we would close at 7pm and allow only those who would be in queue at that time to cast their vote,” she said.
A man whose name went missing in the voters roll said: “This is strange. I voted here in 2008 but they are now saying that my name is in Southerton. I don’t stay there and never changed my constituency for my name to reflect there,” said the man who refused to be named or taken a picture.
About 21 people were waiting inside the polling station waiting to be assisted and congesting the proceedings taking place inside.

It is big confusion and it is often seen in countries during election. It may be rigging or a mishandling. Whatever it is, its not right. Casting vote is every citizen’s right and making them away for casting vote is a crime.
Its administrative failure of election commission if many people were not able to caste their vote because of their names missing from voter list. In a country like Zimbabwe its very difficult to communicate with concerned authority for immediate action. Thanks
