Malajila, who had a successful break into the South African league with KwaZulu Natal-based Maritzburg United, moved to Pretoria a few weeks ago, on a reported five-year contract and is expected to start training with the cash-rich club this month.
“Malajila is the right man to do the job in front of the goals for us,” said Nyandoro, who has himself been one of stars at the club since he joined them from now defunct former Zimbabwean PSL champions, Amazulu, in 2004.
“His composure and ability inside the box will make him great in the team, as he will combine with the best in the land. I believe he will maintain the top form that saw him come out tops at Maritzburg United. I am very confident that given enough support, he will be our main man in the coming season.”
Nyandoro is not the only one holding that belief in the Brazilians camp. Even their coach, Pitso Mosimane has sung many praises for the former Highlanders and Dynamos star.
“Malajila is a capable striker whom any coach can wish to have in his books. I believe he will deliver the goods for us this season,” said the former South African national team coach.
Malajila, who turns 28 in October, could replace countryman Nyasha Mushekwi, who is widely expected to move to Europe this year. Malajila had a fairytale season with Maritzburg United, scoring 11 goals in the just-ended season to finish third on the league’s top goal scorers list.
