The side, now fighting in the Southern Region’s Division One league, hope they will get promotion back to the PSL and bring back the old memories back their legions of supporters.
Coach Mark Mathe told The Zimbabwean, “The team is planning to be a big brand again and in trying to achieve that, we have to win as many games as possible. We are campaigning in the first division at the moment, but I promise that in a few years, we will be back where we belong – Premier League.”
“What I keep on telling my players is that we must not put ourselves under any pressure by looking at the position we are in right now. Miracles do happen in football and many will be surprised when the season comes to any end.”
Saints are currently sitting in the middle of the log and with the experienced players like defenders Patrick Mumba and Norman Jero and attacking midfielder Mlamuli Phakathi, they still possess the arsenal to emerge First Division winners, but their strikers have so far failed to live up to expectations.
