The End of The Road

Elections slated for July 31 mark the end of the road for my party. As far as intelligence on the ground shows, my party has lost support even in the remotest of areas such as Dande, Mukumbura and Chikwalakwala. The much hyped rigging will be difficult to implement this time because these elections are no longer a contest of popularity but a contest of President Robert Mugabe’s wish to retire, his age and his health.

There is nothing that is undermining Zanu (PF) , my party, more than the factors l have mentioned above.

It is common knowledge in the party and security establishment that the President is seriously sick with prostate cancer and his Malaysian and Singaporean doctors have said he will be lucky to make it to the end of the year. This condition, has caused him to reduce his rallies, hence the short period of election campaigning.

It is also clear from intelligence reports available that the party has suffered serious support recession because it has failed to renew itself and give a new direction. It could have long been out of power had it not been for the intelligence arm of the security services, which is now reeling from internal sabotage, factionalism, outright sellouts and deliberate misinformation from within its operatives.

Internal party fighting and glaring factionalism has sold the bhora musango to far away places, where internal rebels, including myself, are spreading the word through a whisper campaign to make sure that the message has reached all corners of the country.

Internal sabotage is the one that will shock my party during the announcement of election results. Ambitions from several people in the party, including those from the security service, have caused divisions.

General Constantine Guvheya Chiwenga’s political ambition to stage a coup is now a cause of consternation to everyone in the party, who also hoped to be in the running to succeed the old and ailing President.

Those who are in the seats of discomfort are Emmerson Mnangagwa, Amai Joyce Mujuru, Sydney Sekeramayi, Saviour Kasukuwere, Simon Khaya Moyo and even Ignatius Chombo. The truth of the matter is that there will be no Zanu (PF) after the next elections. Some of us loved our party so much but there is no longer a rescue plan, even a miracle is impossible.

My party will join the league of other liberation parties that refused to reform themselves such as the Malawi Congress Party, UNIP in Zambia and KANU in Kenya. You will never hear anyone talking about my party again.

Criminals fight

on in Mazoe

It will be as good as a dead donkey. And those responsible for the decay of the party are the beneficiaries of looting and their hands are full of blood.

There is a serious infighting in Mvurwi (Mazoe North constituency) between Mr Chidavaenzi, aspiring MP, and Mhandu, who lost in the primaries.

The problem started when Chidavaenzi, whose six previous convictions plus one fraud case was confirmed by CID. Mvurwi successfully filed nomination papers despite efforts by Mhandu to stop him. Mhandu has now joined our vapanduki team as he is now going around decampaigning Chidavaenzi. – Asijiki, Ndatenda, Baba Jukwa
