This publication therefore seeks to contribute to the transitional justice debate in Zimbabwe by tracking key past occurrences that have a bearing on national healing, reconciliation, political tolerance and sustainable peace. This comes from a background where elections in Zimbabwe have become synonymous with violence to such an extent that some communites have been robbed of their social, political and economic identity.

This newsbrief therefore seeks to remind Zimbabweans that they can Win Against Violent Elections (WAVE) through taking all necessary measures to ensure that past atrocities do not occur in the awaiting elections.
