The case was heard in chambers on Thursday.
In its court application, the MDC-T alleges that the number of officers for the special voting system had been inflated. The MDC-T application cites the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission, Co-Ministers of Home Affairs, Theresa Makone and Kembo Mohadi, police Commissioner General, Augustine Chihuri, Finance Minister, Tendai Biti as first, second, third and fourth respondents, respectively.
The MDC-T argues that the 69, 000 police officers taking part in the special voting system were way above the 44, 133 officers shown on Treasury’s payroll.
Lawyers representing the respective parties were tight lipped over today’s proceedings.
Speaking to journalists, Tsvangirai’s lawyer, Advocate Lewis Uriri, said: “The Judge President has reserved judgement which he said would be available tomorrow (today) by end of day. I do not wish to comment on the matters that have been reserved for judgement because that is unlawful, reckless and dangerous to do so.”
