Veteran Zim Pilot killed in pane crash

Zimbabwe has been robbed of one of the most experienced pilots in the country, following the death of Rob Tasker in a tragic plane crash in Botswana on Saturday.

According to an aviation website forum, Tasker and another passenger Lindy Brooks were reportedly flying a Bataor Fala- based Bandeirante light freighter ZS –NVB 110 plane when the accident happened .

A person who was quoted by the website as Tasker’s son said:

“They were approaching Francistown for a technical stop for fuel. From what I have been told they overshot their approach due to fog on the runway and were cleared for an approach from the other side” Civil Aviation authorities could not be reached for comment.
