Amidu, whose side was relegated to the National First Division at the end of last season, has apparently failed to get a team in the PSL and could be start with Leopards despite desperately wanting a move elsewhere.

The ABSA Premiership season began last week and it looks certain that the clubs have found all topflight clubs have found the personnel they wanted ahead of the close of the summer transfer window.

“If ever I don’t find a club I have to play in the NFD but my heart is no longer here, as I still believe I deserve to play in the top leagues,” said Amidu. “I will not lose hope though, as in football there is nothing like too late and one has to keep on fighting.”

Amidu had a short stint with Kaizer Chiefs before he was off-loaded to Leopards, where he had some enjoyable moments under the guidance of top Zimbabwean coach Sunday Chidzambga, but everything turned bad towards the end of last season when the club was relegated.
