Billiat and I would be great: Malajila

Zimbabwe Warriors gunman, Cuthbert Malajila, said this week that he would make a good combination with countryman Khama Billiat, who recently joined him at Mamelodi Sundowns.

This follows confirmation by the Brazilians’ spokesperson Kabelo Mosito that talented midfielder Billiat had signed a five-year deal.

“I am very pleased to have a player of Billiat’s calibre in the same team,” said Malajila who also recently joined the Brazilians from Durban-side Maritzburg where he was top goal scorer last season.

“Considering his skills, talent, speed and creativity, I will score many goals playing alongside him. Our club has assembled a strong team and with him coming in, I am convinced that we will be unstoppable.

I believe the club made the right decision to bring him on board as he will be the engine in our midfield department.”

Mamelodi Sundowns spokesperson Kabelo Mosito said the arrival of Billiat from Ajax Cape Town would add a healthy competitive spirit into the team.

After protracted negotiations, Billiat finally put pen to paper on a Sundowns contract Monday afternoon, becoming the Pretoria-based side’s 15th signing for this season.
