A close family member, Reward Kangai confirmed the death and said Kangai died this morning at his home in Glenforest in Harare.
“Unfortunately, yes he died,” said Reward.
“He died this morning but we are yet to establish the cause of his death,” he said, revealing that the family was still coming to terms with news of the death.
Earlier this week, Zanu (PF) lost two of its senior cadres: Zanu (PF) founder and former defence minister, Enos Nkala and National Railways of Zimbabwe General Manager, Retired Air Commodore, Mike Karakadzai.
Nkala died at a private hospital in Harare while Karakadzai was involved in a fatal crash along the Shangani- Bulawayo road.
Zanu (PF) politburo yesterday conferred the two with liberation war heroes statuses, proposing that they be buried this Sunday, if their families agree with the proposed date.
