As for Morgan Tsvangirai he is guilty of two fatal strategic errors in two elections. In 2008 when he had Mugabe and ZANU/PF on their knees, he let them off the hook eventually settling for the GNU. In the current election he allowed himself to be inveigled into accepting an early date, in circumstances that were so inappropriate that winning was a pipe dream. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. There’s no way back for Tsvangirai, and the divided MDC is a spent force. As for 2018 look out for President Emmerson Mnangawa. – Mike Rook, Surrey UK
