
“I am feeling much better now. I hope to pass my exams despite this setback,” said Precious. Ruth Kaira, Precious’s teacher, said the girl is coping very well with her studies.
“After going through that terrible accident, we thought it would take a lot of time for her to recover but it seems she has accepted it and is getting on well with her studies,” said Kaira.
The school has constructed special ramps to enable Precious to access the toilets and other buildings. Precious’s father, Tipeyi Ngwenya, said the family had received more than $1000 from well wishers but the money was insufficient to cover medical bills.
The Bulawayo community, under the guidance of Shiralee Taylor, set up a fund to assist the family.
