Stop robbing motorists

EDITOR - I was driving in Gweru on August 5 and was parking my vehicle in a parking bay. Two guys ran to my car and put spikes on my front wheel and told me I could not stop there.

They thought I might bribe them not to issue me with a traffic fine. But after refusing to give them a bribe they issue me with an $85 ticket. I took it to their boss, named Nhundu, and explain to him but to no avail.

I think the municipality must come up with a proper way of raising funds without robbing motorists. Shame on Nhundu and his team – you are a disgrace. Zimbabwean municipalities must learn from neighbouring countries what system they are using to control motorists. ,rather than day light robbing motorist. – Elivious Ndongeni, by email
