Though collation of the results is still going on, the MDC-T confirmed to The Zimbabwean that they had been beaten.
In Kwekwe, MDC-T's firebrand sitting MP who has won in the constituency since 2002, Blessing Chebundo, said he got the majority votes in town but was shocked at the figures that came from polling centres in surrounding mines which indicated he had been heavily defeated by Zanu (PF)'s Masango Matambanadzo.
Arnold Sululu, who has been the MDC-T MP for Silobela, also said he was trailing the Zanu (PF) candidate, Mannock Ncube, from a far position which simply implies that he lost the constituency.
In Zvishavane-Ngezi, Zanu (PF)'s John Holder has also beaten Michael Timveous, husband to MDC-T provincial chairperson Lilian Timveous with 8, 643 votes against the latter's 8, 600.
MDC-T's Chirumanzu-Zibagwe candidate Ishmael Jeko also told The Zimbabwean that results so far show that he has lost the race to Zanu (PF)'s Legal Affairs Secretary and Defence Minister Emmerson Mnangagwa. Jeko said unbelievable votes for Mnangagwa came from the resetllement areas in the constituency.
In Vungu, former ZBC Dj and MDC-T candidate Ezra Sibanda confirmed losing to Zanu (PF)'s Josphat Madubeko.
Meanwhile, MDC-T's Gweru Urban candidate Sesil Zvidzai has beaten Zanu (PF)'s Christopher Gwatidzo. Zvidzai confirmed.
