Zim scholars UK-bound

The UK’s Chevening Scholarship Programme has this year awarded four academically talented Zimbabwean scholars with bursaries to pursue post graduate courses at various universities in the UK.

Tracey Maguze, Dudzai Mureyi, Nqaba Matshazi and Phyllis Maweni are the beneficiaries of the awards.

Speaking at a farewell reception hosted for the scholars, British Ambassador Deborah Bronnert said, “This programme is a demonstration of the UK’s commitment to Zimbabwe’s human resource and to its future. These are the future leaders of tomorrow”.

The Chevening Programme is spread across 116 countries, benefitting over 41,000 scholars globally.
