All set for the schools chess league

All is set for the weekend's double round chess fixtures at Prince Edward School this weekend on 21 September. The schools in the Schools chess league will be taking part in the pulsating league games to determine the winners of the league.

St. Ignatius,Goromonzi, Mabvuku and St. Georges will be the hot favourites for this year's Division One title.However Mufakose 1 High cannot be ruled out as they defeated St. Ignatius and St. Georges before losing to Mabvuku High School in their game.

Prince Edward School will be out to redeem their lost pride as they will be playing the games of their lives as they will be vying for a revenge against Saints and Dominican Convent who are doing very well in their opening, but failing to convert their games.

Mabvuku will be playing against St. Johns and Mufakose. Goromonzi will be playing against Mufakose in a derby that will be very interesting. Saints will play St. Ignatius in another tricky encounter which can go either way. Saints have Takunda Mudzingwa and Taringana Guranungo who are very experienced, while St. Ignatius have Tanaka Marwizi, Tafadzwa Gubba, and Prosper Masundire who are also very experienced.

In division 2 Churchill are the favourites to lift the title in this division.
