My Best Coach
Former Highlanders great, Madinda Ndlovu. He is the coach who introduced me to the first team and managed to play me alongside my football icon, Benjamin Nkonjera in 1996.
My Most Memorable Game
It was against Caps United in a league game in 1996 and we managed to stop their run of 18 unbeaten games. We won 2-1 through the goals from Benjamin Nkonjera and Gift Lunga sr.
My Best Stadium
It is definitely Barbourfields Stadium, where we enjoyed a lot of football memories and the support, especially from the Soweto stand, was always electrifying.
My Best Ever Zim Player
The former Highlanders, Coventry City and national team striker, Peter Ndlovu. He is a legend in Zimbabwean football. He was a complete striker with speed, skill, accuracy and determination. That earned him the nick name “The Bulawayo Bullet”.
My Best Opponent
It was Dynamos defender Kaitano Tembo, who was always a hard marker and played rough. He gave me sleepless nights whenever we were to play them.
My Best Striking Partner
Kelvin Kaindu. We were unstoppable and our combination was out of this world.
My Best Team
There are many, but the national Under-23 squad, which lost 2-1 against Zambia in the Cosafa Cup final hosted in Botswana in 1996 was the best of all. The Lovemore Nyabeza and Barry Daka-led team got their consolation goal through Fungai Kwashi and I scored the first goal in the tournament against Namibia in a 2-2 draw. The other was scored by Nqobizitha Ncube.
My Best Highlanders 11
