Moyo held the same post until he was pressured out in late 2006 following his alleged involvement in a palace coup to topple President Mugabe.
He is seen as the architect of loathed media laws that led to the closure of some newspapers and shrinking media space.
The media was not allowed inside State House and had to obtaining information from those whose appointments were confirmed.
