Zesa arrears – a better solution
EDITOR - The current proposal to annul all domestic electricity arrears throughout Zimbabwe is un-socialist, retrogressive, and rewards bad behaviour. Some ministers have arrears on their personal accounts of $20,00 - $100,000.
Surely it would be much better to credit EVERY Zesa account with $500? This would be cheaper, AND it would help the poor.
If President Mugabe and Zanu (PF) are really socialists then they will embrace and implement this simple measure. – Alex Weir, Harare
