Police in Masvingo only gave Tsvangirai the nod to hold meetings in the urban and Chivi districts, arguing that they did not have enough resources to provide security.
MDC-T Masvingo provincial spokesperson Harrison Mudzuri told The Zimbabwean that the scheduled meetings had to be abandoned.
“We were surprised at the police action and the reasons put forward were not satisfactory,” said Mudzuri.
No comment could be obtained from the police.
