Zimura director lands top African post

Zimbabwe Music Rights Association executive director Polisile Ncube has been appointed chair of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers Executive African Committee. Ncube had held the post of vice-chair since last year’s annual general meeting in Senegal.

Thrilled about her appointment to the internationally recognised organisation, she posted the following message on Facebook: ““Every day, every hour you are faithful, Lord. I have been appointed chairperson of the CISAC Executive African Committee. I know, Lord, that you will walk the journey with me. Amen.”

Ncube attended regional and international management courses and seminars through CISAC and the World Intellectual Property Organisation.

She took part in CISAC AGMs for four years before joining the organisation in 2005.

CISAC was established in 1926 as a non-governmental organisation. It works towards increased recognition and protection of creators’ rights.
