Players from as far as Bulawayo will also take part in the showcase, which serves as preparation tournament for the Zimbabwe Chess Open tourney slated for late December.
The Zim Open is the biggest hosted by the Zimbabwe Chess Federation and attracts players from as far as Zambia, South Africa and Botswana.
The Chumfwa brothers, International Master Gillian Bwalya, Chitumbo Mwali and Godwin Phiri, the defending Champion are all likely to come and fight over the chequered board for the richest tournament in Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, the Harare Schools Chess Association will be hosting a selection tourney for the Under-13, Under- 15 and Under-17 age groups for players based in Harare, in preparation for the National Scholars chess Championships, to be hosted by Harare Province. The youth tournament will be held on the November 30 at Churchill School.
