A video of a lazy US postal worker driving across a customer’s lawn to deliver a parcel has gone viral.
Mark Anderson installed security cameras at his home in LaGrange, Georgia, to check on his disabled mother when he was at work.
But while taking a brief look at the CCTV footage, he was shocked to see a US Postal Service van on his lawn.
It shows a female postal worker driving right up to his front door, leaving tyre marks on the lawn, before walking to the steps and tossing a small parcel onto the mat.
Millions of people have viewed the clip online since Mr Anderson uploaded it to YouTube. “I saw a thumbnail image of the post truck and said: ‘What the…’,”he told US website The Blaze.
“I simply have no words. The package was not heavy in anyway, and yet this woman made the decision to do this.”
Dell admits laptops smell of cat pee
Computer giant Dell has made an embarrassing confession – some of its laptops smell like cat urine. A number of customers complained that their Latitude 6430u Ultrabooks “smell of cat urine”, reports the BBC.
Dell engineers have admitted there was a problem but ruled out biological contamination, and said the smell was not a health hazard.
The problem lay in the manufacturing process, which has now been changed, the company says. Customers first raised the issue with Dell’s high-end business laptop back in June.
One user called Three West complained on Dell’s hardware support forum: “The machine is great, but it smells as if it was assembled near a tomcat’s litter box. It is truly awful!”
Another customer, Hoteca, said: “I thought for sure one of my cats sprayed it, but there was something faulty with it so I had it replaced.
“The next one had the same exact issue. It’s embarrassing taking it to clients because it smells so bad.”
Dell support technician SteveB posted: “The smell is not related to cat urine or any other type of biological contaminant, nor is it a health hazard.”
The problem was related to the manufacturing process, and had now been resolved, he added.
The Gospel according to Britney
A new musical that depicts the story of Jesus Christ using only Britney Spears songs is to be staged in New York.
Spears the Musical: The Gospel According to Britney will feature several of the star’s songs, including (You Drive Me) Crazy, Baby One More Time and Stronger.
They will be used to portray the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, reports Digital Spy.
The project is described as “the greatest story ever told, to the greatest music ever written” on kickstarter.com which raised funding for the project.
A preview for funders will be staged at New York’s Foxwoods Theatre on 7 November.
Creator Pat Blute said: “These are Britney’s lyrics. These are Jesus Christ’s images. The Britney Spears you see is not Britney Spears.
Remember that. The Jesus Christ you read is not Jesus Christ. “It’s a falsehood that people believe fame and fortune create happiness. That all ‘deaths’ receive a resurrection.
“I hope this project will show you otherwise through the power of listening and the power of forgiveness.”
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Britney Spears’ music was being used by a supertanker off east Africa to deter Somali pirates.Post published in: World News
