Championship still open to three teams: Moyo

Former Highlanders skilful winger, Netsai Moyo, believes no club can lay claim to having the upper hand in the race for the 2013 Castle Lager championship race at the moment.

After defending champions Dynamos’ recent victory over their perennial enemy, Highlanders, most people believed the Harare giants had it for their taking, but with three games to go, the race seemed destined for the wire.

Moyo believed any of the three top sides – DeMbare, Bosso and dark horses, Harare City, could still clinch it.

“This is not the time for any side to start celebrating or go to sleep because a draw by any of the three when others win can make a big difference,” said Moyo.

“I can tell you that it’s anyone’s game because all top three teams still stand a chance. People mustn’t be shocked even if little-followed City win the league. What’s needed now is winning continuously. A draw at this stage will spell disaster for any of the teams as it will send them out of the race.”

Dynamos now lead the pack while Harare City are second tied up with same number of points and Highlanders coming as number three, a point behind the leading duo.
